Refund and cancellation policy
Every Happily Us book is painted and printed just for your family. Here's how changes, cancellations and refunds work.
Before your book prints
You'll see every page before anything is printed. If a name, the dedication or anything else needs fixing, tell us on your proof page and we'll make the change and send you a fresh proof.
You can cancel for a full refund any time before your book is approved for printing. Your book is approved when you tap Approve on your proof, or when your proof deadline passes and we print it as shown so it arrives in time.
After your book prints
Because every book is one of a kind, we can't accept returns or give refunds for a change of mind once your book has been approved for printing.
If something is wrong with your book
If your book arrives damaged, has a printing defect, or doesn't match the proof you approved, email us at hello@gethappilyus.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the problem. We'll reprint it free or refund you in full, whichever you prefer.
Lost, stolen or damaged in the mail
If you added Package Protection at checkout, we'll reprint and resend your order free if it's lost, stolen or damaged in transit. Email us within 30 days of the expected delivery date. Without Package Protection, we'll help you file a claim with the carrier.
Digital edition
The digital edition is delivered when your book is approved, so it can't be refunded on its own after delivery.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to your original payment method. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.

Shipping policy
Where we ship
We currently ship within the United States.
How your order moves
After you order, we paint your whole book and email you a proof to look through. Once it's approved (when you tap Approve, or when your proof deadline passes), it goes straight to our printer in the USA.
Shipping options
Standard shipping: $5.99, free on orders of $45 or more. Most orders arrive 7 to 11 business days after you order.
Christmas rush: $29.99. Your book is printed first and ships 2-day. Most rush orders arrive 5 to 7 business days after you order.
Christmas delivery
To arrive before Christmas, order by December 7 with standard shipping, or by December 14 with Christmas rush. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, because carriers can be delayed during the holidays.
Gift copies
Gift copies mailed to other homes always ship by standard shipping, each in its own package. You add their addresses when you approve your proof.
Tracking
We email you tracking as soon as your order ships.
Address problems
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If a package comes back because of an incorrect or incomplete address, we'll reship it once you confirm the right address. Reshipping costs the shipping charge for your order.

Terms of service
These terms apply when you use gethappilyus.com or buy from Happily Us ("we", "us"). By making a preview or placing an order, you agree to them.
Who can order
You must be at least 18 years old to make a preview or place an order.
Your photos
When you upload photos, you confirm that you have the right to use them, and that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child pictured, or have that parent's or guardian's permission.
You give us permission to use your photos only to make your preview and your book. Our service providers (for illustration, printing and email) process them for that purpose only. We never sell your photos and never use them in our advertising without your written permission.
Photos uploaded for a free preview are deleted after 30 days if you don't order. For orders, we keep your photos and artwork so we can fix or reprint your book. You can ask us to delete them at any time by emailing hello@gethappilyus.com.
We may refuse any photo or order that is unlawful, offensive, or that we don't have the right to print.
Your book
Your book is an illustrated storybook, painted by our artwork process from your photos. Each person is drawn as a storybook character, so the result is a painted likeness, not a photograph. That's why you see every page before it prints and can ask for fixes.
The story, illustrations and design belong to Happily Us. Your book is for your family's personal use, and you may not resell or commercially reproduce it.
Orders and prices
Prices are shown in US dollars and may change. Holiday launch prices end on the date shown on our site. If we can't fulfill an order, we'll refund it in full.
Cancellations, returns and refunds are covered by our refund policy. Shipping is covered by our shipping policy.
Emails
We email you about your order and proof. If you make a free preview, we may send up to two reminders about it, and every reminder has an unsubscribe link.
Limits of our responsibility
Our site and books are provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted when you place your order applies to that order.
